Working primarily in black and grey, Mark specialises in realism, dark surrealism, and blackwork. His tattoos are known for their depth and texture—soft gradients against heavy blacks, and influences drawn from the darker edges of art and subcultures. Surrealism, post industrial and bio-organic forms.

At the core of his process is collaboration. Each piece is developed through conversation and intent, resulting in work that is entirely individual—designed to belong to the wearer, not to be repeated. The focus is always on longevity, flow, and how the tattoo will exist on the body over time.

Mark began his career under the mentorship of Tommy Lee Wendtner, where he developed a disciplined approach to both craft and concept. Years of travelling and working across Europe and the US followed, shaping a broader perspective and refining his technical ability.

In 2019, he founded One For Sorrow Tattoo Studio in Shrewsbury—an award-winning space conceived as more than just a tattoo studio. Designed as an immersive, curated environment, it reflects his broader vision: to create a place and community for art, and his approach to tattooing: considered, and uncompromising in its standards.
